Fido's First Mystery

Fangsie Fido lost her mother at an early age, but she was never alone during the many years that followed. Her dad, Ford Fido, was always there for her. Telling her stories of heroes, monsters, and magic beyond the cyber cityscape of Xtasis, he protected her smile. Yet, that too would come to an abrupt end.

There was a knock on Fangsie’s door. Like many nights before, Fangsie eagerly ran to greet it, expecting her father was home with groceries for dinner. But this time, one of Ford’s coworkers from the Xtasis Police Department stood at her doorstep. Fangsie could feel something was wrong. Expressing their condolences, the visitor handed Fangsie a notice titled, “Detective Ford Fido - Reported Missing”. Fangsie protested in disbelief, but her cries could not bring her dad back home.

Since that night, Fangsie was forced to grow up quickly. Her dad was gone, but his memory lived on through Fangsie’s resilience, sharp intuition, and the Arcana-powered magnifying glass he gifted her. Like her dad before her, Fangsie enlisted in the XPD and took an oath to protect the city’s order. Her ultimate goals: become a detective, reclaim her dad’s office, and discover the truth behind her dad’s disappearance.

After years of persevering through police academy and grunt work, Fangsie was finally promoted to Police Detective. And through a deal with the Police Chief, she reclaimed her dad’s old office. As she sat at her dad’s old desk, she scanned the room, reminiscing about him. These memories filled her with determination. Once again, Fangsie vowed to solve the mystery of her dad’s disappearance, no matter how dangerous the road ahead might be.
