The Infused Mages are an elite unit within the military branch known as the Special Operational Forces (SOF), forged through advancements in Arcana Tech. Once ordinary individuals without natural affinity for magic, they now wield weapons that channel the immense energy of modified Arcana Stones. Unlike standard police, who may carry arcanetic arms but cannot draw out their full power, the Infused undergo a process of attunement. Their bodies and minds are altered, not to the extreme of biomechanicals, but enough to ensure their weapon enhancements become an extension of their being.

This fusion comes at a cost. The humanoid body is not meant to host such volatile energy and so the Infused live with constant strain. Their enhancements blur the boundary between discipline and dependency, and continual usage tightens the grip their enhancements hold over their flesh and will. Some see this as a sacrifice for the greater good, while others whisper that the Infused are little more than experiments, vessels forced to bear a power that strips them of their humanity. Yet, on the battlefield, their presence is undeniable.
