All Ceci wanted was a peaceful village life; a home, a family, peaceful days helping the people she cared about.

Najhma Sitra took that from her. The elder who was meant to guide Ceci's development instead exploited her talent for Nakodan Herbalism. Using the guise of a novel medicinal treatment, Sitra deceived Ceci into blending derivatives of Nakodite, a dangerous drug smuggled into Nakodan lands by the neighboring Cairon Empire. In ages past, the Empire used this addictive substance to conquer the Kingdom of Gluttrios. And if left unchecked, the Nakoda could succumb to the same fate.

Leaders at the Sanctuary caught wind of this plot and sent Spirit Templars to the Lignarian Frontier that borders the Empire. Ceci's village of Hadima was one of the Nakodan communities there. Sitra anticipated the Templar's arrival and she had prepared for it. In fact, she groomed Ceci for this very contingency. Upon their arrival, Sitra played innocent, leading the Templars towards her naïve scapegoat.

The door to Ceci's apothecary burst open. Past the threshold stood Sitra, the Templars, and an angry mob. At first disoriented by the vitriol before her, Ceci soon realized that the people she loved had betrayed her. So before the Templars could apprehend her, Ceci raced towards the back exit, grabbing whatever her vines could hold. Running for her life and fueled by despair Ceci crafted a potion unlike any she had before. This became Ceci's first POMB, a POMB that would raze Hadima to the ground.

With her past life consumed by flames, Ceci wandered through the Great Forest, eventually finding a partially-corrupted swamp within the Banyaku Delta. Few Nakodans dare venture into lands tainted by Corruption, yet to Ceci this swamp held the promise of a new life.
