The Sable Tragedy

Birthed by a Ylvan mistress, Katya’s fate would have been similar to other illegitimate children born into Cairon nobility. Yet as a daughter of House Sable, she witnessed her house rise to prominence through trade with the technologically superior United Dunari Federation. Instead she was outright dismissed and became another of Dominic’s targets. On the night of the assassination Katya watched as Dominic killed her father in cold blood. Traumatized and barely able to escape, she fled to the UDF and began weaving an underground network that spanned both nations.
